Am I A Good Candidate For A Sheltie Puppy??

HI.. I’m VERY interested in getting a sheltie puppy. I currently have two cats, who have no experience with dogs, (That’s why I think It would have to be a puppy, so they get used to it when it’s little. They’re flight, not fight personalities and have no front claws, so I’m sure they wouldn’t harm the puppy).
I live on a BEAUTIFUL campus in the country and love taking walks, so I could give the dog exercise that way BUT I don’t have a fenced yard for it. I would never allow it to roam unsupervised outside. I’d prefer to keep it inside with me most of the time. My apartment isn’t very big.. I’m inteerested in obedience training and teaching it lots of good skills (I know shelties need something to mentally stimulate them)..
I work 8 hours a day, true, but i work 3 min from home and come home for my lunch hour.
So.. do I sound like a good candidate for a Sheltie pup?
You don’t happen to have a sable female 8-12 weeks old for sale in Washington D.C./Lower Mayland/Northern VA??
How Do I Keep My Cats Off Of My Computer Desk?
I dont mind if my cats climb on some things in my house but, I would like to keep them off my computer and a table that has my coffee pot on it. How can I do that?

It has been raining cats and dogs all day today. I had the day off so I stayed home with my baby Dane. I went to go let her outside and she would not leave the porch to go in the rain! I tried dragging her out to the grass (try that with a 100pd mule lol). I then remembered that I found a cute raincoat at Old Navy a couple weeks ago for her. (I typically hate the idea of people dressing up their pets, but this was on sale and was in her size. hard to find that!) So I took her back inside, put on the raincoat, and tried again. She had the little hood up around her face, and she looked so darn cute. But she actually tip toed out to the yard in the rain with her rain coat and went potty! lol
My question is:
Does your dog have any weird quirks like this?
What does your dog do that makes you smile?
Does Anyone Know If The Manx (cat) Breed Are Born To Always Have The Wild Characteristics?

-Does anyone know if the manx breed are born to always have the wild characteristics? I’ve had my manx for about 11 years.. (it lives indoors) and it still bites.. it’s bit ever since it was a kitten.. I can only pet it on the head..or rub its neck… and nothing below..but if I pet longer than like 1 minute… it will turn around and take a chunk of my hand.. I don’t even pet it rough either.. its light petting..yet it still comes and rubs against me like it wants me to pet it..and it meows if me and my family call for it…and it follows us around… but why does it bite us and other people? I don’t understand… I would think if it didn’t like being pet it wouldn’t rub against me.. even after it eats.. and its full already..it will rub against us… yet then not too long it will bite us… What is wrong with it? Is it bipolar or something?!!!?? I wish I had a normal cat I could pick up and hold.. =[.
How Do I Keep My Cats From Scratching On Our Furniture Without Declawing Them?
I want to buy new furniture because our cats have scratched up the old sofas we have. I dont want to declaw my babies but how would I keep them from scratching away at the new furniture. I bought them a scratching post since they were kittens but they have never used it. Does anyone have any ideas they’ve tried that seem to work?

Hello. I’m interested in finding out what cat breeds are popular in and are found in, and are being developed in Jamaica, West Indies. What catteries or cat breeders are there in Jamaica? The closest thing I can find is the The Kingston-based Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA). Please let me know. Thank you. 
How Can I Train My Old Cat To Sit Where I Want Her Too?

She’s getting old, and she used to have this pillow she loved. Now she doesn’t like her pillow and sits on the sofa and sheds. I guess my dad had her trained to go to the pillow, but I don’t know how he did it.
I’ve put damp wash clothes on the coaches, and when I catch her sitting in the wrong area, I gently escort her to her pillow where she gives me a dirty look.
I can’t have her ruing the couches, and I don’t understand why she’s abandoned her pillow.
Which Cat Breed Would Be Better For Us?

Today is the day I’m taking my daughter to get a kitten the thing is I’ve spoken with 3 breeders that sound abosutley wonderful one of the kittens is a cornish rex, the other a persian and a himalayan.. they are cost the same price and all sound wonderful but I can’t decide if anyone knows about breeds and their personalities which would be the friendliest and have a loving dispostion thank you we are so excited
