Is A 30 Square Metre Studio Apartment Too Small For A Cat?
I really would like to get a cat but I’m worried that my apartment is too small. Does anyone know of any particular breed of cat that would be quite happy living in such a small space?

A cat could definitely live a happy life in such a small space, though it would be a little cozy. I wouldn’t recommend trying to buy a purebred. Just go to the animal shelter and find a sweet, calm cat. Like another person said, shelter kitties are used to living in cages so your apartment will seem HUGE in comparison.

quick math, and quick conversion to feet, makes it about 18 feet x 18 feet.
other then setting up a place for him to hide , which could be just a covered box under the bed, and a something to climb on, like a cat tree or if you do not mind, your bookcase, i do not see a problem.
in a full size house, cats find small places to crawl into and high things to jump on.
i would also get an adult cat from a shelter, not a kitten.

It is rather small, but it depends. If you get a cat from a shelter, where she lives in a cage of 1 sq. mtr., she will be much better at home with you.

my cats mostly stay in a space that size and they are fine. i am getting a harness and leash to walk my boy, which will be good for the both of us.
