Otherwise, usually the shorter the hair, the less problems, but it all depends on how allergic the person is. A high quality food and a non-shedding or skin/coat supplement can help reduce shedding and therefore reduce the allergens. The allergic person could take antihistimines. Zyrtec is now over the counter, works well for cat allergies, and doesn't cause drowsiness. The Egyptian Hairless is hypoallergenic. Obviously, I chose the Drix. Worked great and eventually, my allergies went away completely. Check with your vet and see what they recommend.
