What Breed Of Cat Has The Best Personality?

I have a Siamese and we need him to come of of his shell. This is possible by adopting another cat. Please let me know what type of cat is completely opposite of the Siamese characteristics. His ‘tude is quite irritating!

I would think that the presence of another cat may not instill the response you are looking for. I would need to know a LOT more about your cat before I would be able to tell you what would bring your cat out of his shell…you might get one that annoys him by trying to play, or he might only be lonely….its hard to say with what you’ve said so far….
to answer the question as put forth:
For the opposite of a Siamese I would consider a Ragdoll… I had several, wonderful social cuddly things…. but understand that Ragdolls are literally the opposite, they are not aggressive and will often get their tails handed to them in a fight even when they outmass the other cat.
if yours is in any way aggressive id say pass on a rag…
Other than that I would consider a Maine Coon, most Ive known were very pleasant, or you could go with a tabby, they vary a lot, some are the most loving, playful, and gregarious.

maine coons have a REALLY good personality! they love people they love to play they love everything but they have to be an inside cat and if you cant get that kind of cat just get a cat when it is a kitten and play with it all the time, hold it and pet it thats the best way but maine coons really have a good personality!!!

although very rare, the laperm cat is the most affectionate breed. I have two and they are different to any other king of kat i have seen, Russian blues are also very affectionate.

I think a great breed is either russian blue or tuxedo I recently got a russian blue kitten and he will play all the time but he also LOVES to be held. Russian blues are known to be very loyal to their humans and their catmates.

i dont think the breed has anything to do with it. you should just get a cat that has a fun personality when u meet it and c if it likes u :)

Burmese are extremely chilled out cats and are very confident and out going and they get on very well with other cats. And they are not as vocal as a Siamese.

I kinda think it depends on the cat more than the breed.
