I find it interesting that other people you’ve never met seem to know what you want and don’t want.
Check the web for cat shows in your area. That is where breeders “hang out” and someone there will be able to assist you.

There are more then enough back yard breeders in this country. Spay your cat and buy the breed your looking for.

They very hard to find, and cost a petty penny

You do not want more kittens. Your poor cat should be spayed. Spayed and neutered cats are way more affectionate and loving. Breeding is too much hassle and thats just mean to the poor cat.

Unless you are a serious cat breeder and your female is purebred, which I doubt since you said either a Ragdoll OR Siamese male and serious breeders don’t cross those two because they can’t be registered . . . visit your local animal shelter and ask them how many cats and kittens they had to put to sleep today. Even if you will “find good homes for them all,” they will only add to the problem of too many kittens, not enough homes.
Please spay your female. Every heat cycle she has increases her chance for getting breast cancer (always a death sentence in cats), a serious uterine infection (pyometra), ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer. If she’s an indoor cat, she will come into heat multiple times during the spring/summer months, will call all night and drive everyone crazy. Besides the overpopulation issue, there are many health reasons to spay your cat. Please be a responsible pet owner.

I think its great that u love cats and that u want to have more in ur life. I dont’ think its cruel to breed ur cat if she is in good health and all. If u want more kittens with the same personality as ur wonderful cat there is no wrong in that. I would try and google ur area and what ur looking for. Somtimes u can find good animals on the computer. I had two wonderful ragdoll cats and i know the love and joy they bring into ones life good luck and i hope that you can find one to breed with ur cat.

You SHOULD NOT breed your cat!! She should be SPAYED. Do you know how many cats and kittens are put to sleep each year because they can’t find homes or because someone dumped them off when they became too much responsibility for them?

then put your money into rescuing cats that already are in shelters and have them all fixed so they cant have any more babies. save a life, dont create more. i love all animals but it is heart breaking as to how many are homeless and killed each year because they dont get adopted. if you are a cat lover then please, adopt!!!!!!

So, let’s get this straight. You want to bring more kittens into a world already full of homeless animals, using a purebred ‘just’ to mate once with yours to produce non-purebred kittens?
Then what? Are you going to keep all the kittens, or only the ones that come out the way you want? Where does the dad go after he ‘just’ mates?
Here’s a better idea. You’re close to a major metropolitan area, and it’s still kitten season. How about going to your local shelter(s) to see if they have a colorpoint kitten or cat in need of a home? It’s faster, easier, and creates less problems than trying to make your own.

Adopt a Siamese or Ragdoll. Don’t breed. It’s ”kitten season” and the adult cats in need of good homes are being overlooked.
Get your cat spayed, it’ll make her life so much easier and happier.
Think about it….how would you feel if someone made you get pregnant just because THEY wanted a baby around the house.

Isn’t there a By-law as to how many animals you may own in one dwelling? If not, there ought to be.
Adopt kittens from shelters and you will feel much better about yourself rather than trying to breed the perfect animal. You may even be in luck and find what you are looking for. Please, adopt and help those animals in need.

Buy a magazine called “Cat Fancy” and look in the back at the classified. However, there are tons of unwanted cats already, why not wait for a Ragdoll or Siamese to come up for adoption at the Humane Society?

Hi! I believe if you goal to produce purebred kitten, it is entirely
your decision. However, if you are going to have ultimately
a non-purebred, I agree with most of the board it is best to
adopt or save another homeless ragdoll or siamese. I am aware
that somepeople unfortunately only want kittens. Once they are
adult cat, they lose interest. Some people even give away or take a small donation for their purebred cat because it is not as “cute”
as when it was a kitten. Please keep in mind we all should committed to provide a forever home for our pet(s). If you are
financial, emotional, and time resources to adopt another kitten
or cat, I congratulate you. Please make sure if do adopt or obtain
a kitten/cat from a breeder that they are checked out entirely for
parasites (tapeworms, roundworms, heartworms, ear mites).
By the way, shy away from any kitten with cool or cold paws.
It is a bad sign. Good luck to you and the board!

If you want kittens go adopt some. It’s kitten season…meaning there are millions of kittens flooding local shelters…many of these wont have a chance at life and will be euthanised because no one will adopt them because people think its cute to breed their cats, or they want their kids to watch “the miracle of life”. Don’t breed your cat. they have plenty of mixed and pure breed kittens in shelters. seriously. You want kittens go adopt them. Save a life…don’t create another one. Get your cat spayed…it also prevents against uterine cancer.
