my cat is two years old and he acts threatend when my boyfriend comes over. my cat hisses, meows, and makes his back hair and tail hair stand. there have been a few times when my cat corners my boyfriend and attacks him with biting and scratching. so now everytime my boyfriend comes over, he reacts with fear and i think my cat senses this. i always have to put my cat in another room when my boyfriend is over. How can i convince my boyfriend to stop being scared and how can i train my cat to be nice to my boyfriend?

One way to help will be to remove the source of testosterone in your male cat. (ie it’s nads), this tends but not always, to calm them down.
But that being harsh as it is… there is one way that will help a lot.
Get your boyfriend to feed the cat. When you’d normally feed him, the boyfriend does. Eventually the cat learns that boyfriend = food bringer = friend to suck up to.
The way to ANY and ALL cat’s hearts is directly through their chubby lil stomachs.

((DON’T YOU DARE STOP FEEDING YOUR CAT!, like SOME people are suggesting))
is your bf a good person and it seems you know your cat better than this guy, so trust you cat…they know stuff…
also, you cat is protecting its territory, and this bf is invading it.
ps. go cats!

The cat has to have water. let the cat go two days without eating then have your boyfriend feed the cat it’s favorite food. The pro’s use sardines.
