Can Someone Be Allergic To Dogs But Not Cats If They Are On Allergy Meds?
My boyfriend is allergic to cats. He’s been on allergy meds for over a year & he’s fine with the cats. We broght home a dog yesterday & his eyes have been watering since. Given the fact he forgot to take his meds 2 days in a row the day before & the other day before, does this mean he’s allergic to the dog or is it just his lack of responsibility? I wonder if it’s b/c he forgot the meds the other day & now all this excitement from all the animals is stirring up more dander? Any suggestions?
Anyone Have Any Suggestions For Dealing With An Allergy To Cats And Dogs?
There is a guy at work that I have been flirting with for quite awhile. We have plans to see a concert next month and plan on getting together next week to go out. My problem is this- he is allergic to cats and dogs. Right now this is not really an issue, we are only casually seeing each other. But I have two cats, and over the long term this could be a problem. I can’t give up my cats. Anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the allergy? Any meds or natural remedies that are effective?

We got an indoor trained cat from our neighbor and my kids love him deeply. Just recently, my oldest child and youngest daughter have had a hacking cough that doesn’t want to let up and my twin boys have been getting red eyes. What should I do because I hate to take the cat to the pound after the person who gave us that cat got it from there. Please help.

I’ve been trying to liquidate the contents of my mother’s estate by having an indoor estate sale. I broke my leg 6 months ago, so I can’t lug the stuff around to have an outdoor sale. Knowing many people have allergies, I put a big sign on the front door “THERE ARE CATS IN THE HOUSE – IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, BE ADVISED.” If someone rings the doorbell I also give them a verbal warning so later they can’t say they they didn’t see the sign – and you’d have to be Stevie Wonder not to see it. Last Saturday two women entered the house and I asked them if they had allergies to cats. They didn’t confirm or deny it – they just pushed past me and started rummaging through the house contents. They weren’t inside more than a minute when one started gasping and wheezing. She couldn’t even talk and she was grasping at her throat. The woman with her helped her outside. They walked down the front sidewalk, then stopped. I saw the effected woman bend over and the other was holding on to her. They stayed there a few minutes, then walked to the curb. The effected woman sat down on the curb while the other woman hovered over her. They stayed there about 5 minutes, then slowly walked back to their car. Now I’ve had asthma attacks and this looked like one, but I wanted to know if this woman could press charges against me for her “pain and suffering” or anything else for that matter.

I love cats and had several growing up, but I’m allergic to them. My cats gave me asthma, and I was also allergic to saliva (I’d get a rash). Is it true that certain breeds are better for allergy sufferers? Is there a way to care and groom for a cat that will reduce allergies?

Colorpoint Shorthair(wait..That’s a breed?),American Shorthair and Cornish Rex?
I don’t believe it,since it’s the cats saliva that causes allergies.
Also, those so called “allergy friendly” kittens from ALLERCA,they aren’t really allergy friendly,right?http://www.allerca.com/
