A stray cat that I have been feeding has just recently became very sick. I’ve never been able to take him to the vet because he was feral but now he is sick and drags both his back legs and can no longer run from me so he has kinda warmed up to me but is still kinda shy. I was able to take him to the vet Monday and he isn’t paralyzed but does have a urinary block and I now have to keep him inside, express his bladder 3 times a day and give him steroids twice a day. This visit wasn’t too expensive but if he doesn’t get any better the vet told me the next step was hospitilization or have him put to sleep. The vet told me he wasn’t in any pain so I hate to have him put to sleep but I know I can’t afford anymore medical bills at this time. Today I cut back on some of my unnecessary bills like xm radio, onstar, magazie subscriptions and i took extra features off my cell phone, I even went and sold back my college books and I’m trying my hardest to find all of my books for next semester at used book stores. I’m also in the works of organizing a yard sale but everyone I keep talking to says that I will not make enough money to cover it all. So does anyone know of any programs or societies that will help cover a cat’s medical bills? I really need some help, I just can’t put him to sleep! Someone help!
