How Do I Train My Indoor Cat To Walk On A Lease?
Posted by admin in Cat Training on February 14th, 2010
I’d like to take her for walks. I have a very lightweight lease and a collar. She doesn’t even like the collar and will not move when the lease is on.
But it’s the only way I can take her outside as she’s never been out and I don’t want to lose her.
My Cat Drinks Only Running Tap Water.how Can I Train Her To Drink From The Bowl?
Posted by admin in Cat Training on February 12th, 2010
My cat likes to drink water from the running faucet. But I’ve NEVER seen her drink from her water bowls (and I have 2 for her – one next to her food bowl and another one in a corner where she likes to hang out).
I’m worried that she doesn’t drink enough water. Should I be? Can cats get dehydrated?
Does anyone know how I could train her to drink from her bowls?
How Can I Train My Cat To Shut The Door After He Opens It?
Posted by admin in Cat Training on February 11th, 2010
it’s so annoying to get up every time he wants to join me in my bedroom, but i hate having the door open. it doesn’t actually shut (the doorknob is broken) so he can just push it open and (with any luck) push it shut. i’m not going to lock him in or out, so don’t suggest that. Thanks!

Posted by admin in Cat Training on February 11th, 2010
I took in a stray cat approx 2 yrs old, male. I already have 3 cats who share a large litter box. I constantly let the new cat out side to go to the bathroom. He has peed on my carpet when he wasn’t able to get outside in time. I have tried to make him use a litter box by closing him off in the bathroom with litter, I used sherdded paper, I used dirt to make him think he was outside. Nothing has worked. He just holds it in! I had him neutered within a mth of taking him in a year ago. He is the coolest cat, I love him so much I want to make this work!

Posted by admin in Cat Training on February 10th, 2010
Our cats are basically indoor cats that we let outside, supervised, quite often. It would be so nice to have them use that big litterbox area in the back garden I set up for them. But no, they wait till they are back inside and make a bee line to the litterbox. Having four cats, it would be so nice if they could at least pee and poo outside now and then. Any suggestions?
